A fast response by Ridgefield Firefighters saved a German Shepard trapped inside a house fire on West Lane this morning. A 911 call was received at 7:10am and Ridgefield's firefighters arrived on scene within 5 minutes of the call. On arrival Engine 1 found the 3000 square foot house charged with heavy smoke and the main body of fire was located in the walls near the electrical panel.

No injuries were reported and the fire is currently being investigated by the fire marshal.
