Santa Visit FAQ's - 2020

What time will Santa arrive at my house?  We wish we were able to give you a specific time for your visit but it's just too hard to tell you an exact time.  We do our best to stay on schedule and always arrive in your assigned window of time.

How is Santa's route determined?  Our routes are determined by street address as well as the time frame of the visit.  We aim to keep our trucks from having to circle back to duplicate streets so that Santa can visit longer at each stop.  Sometimes you will see our trucks on the same street on the same day but at two different times.  That is because the neighbors each signed up for different sessions (morning/afternoon).

Can you give me an idea of a smaller window of time when Santa will arrive?  Once our routes are set, we more than likely can give you a more concise window of time.  Please email your request.

How long is Santa's visit?  Santa's visit will last between three and five minutes depending on the number of children at the stop.

Can I cancel my visit?  You may cancel your visit but All Sales Are Final.  If you have to cancel, you are welcome to transfer your visit to another Ridgefield family at no charge.  See the FAQ below for changing your visit:

Can I change the date, time or address of my visit?  Yes, simply login to your Eventbrite account and go to VIEW ORDER - MY TICKETS – EDIT.  Remember to SAVE your changes!  Please note, space is limited for each session.  All changes must be made prior to the December deadline.

Why do you need the names of the children?  Santa likes to call the children by name as he pulls up to the house.  If you would rather not provide the names of your children, that is totally your choice.

Is there a limit on the number of children that can be at my house?  Please follow state guidelines for gatherings, distancing, masks and face coverings to ensure a safe event.

Can I add additional names of children to my stop?  Yes, you can add or delete names at any time by logging in to your Eventbrite account and going to VIEW ORDER - MY TICKETS – EDIT.  Remember to SAVE your changes!

Do I have to provide gifts?  We are not doing gifts in 2020.  We invite you to shop on our online store to buy Ridgefield Fire Apparel.  All proceeds from the sales of merchandise on this website will go to charitable causes. https://logosgreenwich.com/ridgefield/shop/home

Who do I contact if I have a question on the day of the event?  If you have an issue on the day of the event, please contact Tony at 203-885-9549 by calling or texting.   DO NOT CALL THE FIREHOUSE.

What do we do when Santa arrives?  A representative of the FD will arrive at your home a few minutes before Santa.  He/she will let you know that Santa is coming.  Please get the children bundled up and wait for Santa outside.

Will the firetruck use the siren?  Yes, most of the time Santa likes to use the siren to get the kids excited.  If you prefer he not use the siren, please make a note in the “Special Notes” section of your registration.
