| House Fire Prevented by D Shift

A 911 call received at approximately 11:30am this morning brought members of the D Shift along with a response by off duty union firefighters and volunteer fire department to a house on Continental Drive. An electrical fire started by a downed primary wire caused minor damage to the exterior and interior of the structure. Firefighters were able to contain the fire to the area of origin using dry chemical extinguishers until CL&P arrived on scene to secure the power line.
